Description

A handsome late Victorian hall chair in walnut dating from circa 1880. Featuring a scrolled pediment crest rail above a carved and turned bluster back with tile insert. The tile is a beautiful Victorian Minton tile by John Moyr Smith depicting Blind Man’s Buff. This chair features a solid, flared seat slab with rounded edge moulding and canted corners supported by turned legs. Solid and sturdy and in good condition this attractively shaped, high quality chair has beautifully figured walnut with a rich warm patina.
