Description

A charming pair of Victorian drawings of country scenes with watercolour details. The pair are worked in miniature with extremely fine and accomplished detail. One scene shows a young woman standing at a garden gate and the other a milkmaid with a pail on her head and stool in hand. The pair are both in good condition with bright colour and just the odd minor foxing mark. They are mounted in the original ebonised frames which are in good untouched condition. The works have a great decorative look and are ready to hang. C.1860.
