Description

1930s Record pocket watch
The watch has a 7 jewel stem-winding movement, identified as by Record, which is working nicely. The movement is nicely decorated with Geneva stripes and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, the company was a prolific manufacturer of cases for various watch makers. There is a short scratch to the back and general light surface marks but overall the condition is very nice for a 1930s piece.
The glass lens is in good condition, just a few very minor marks.
The dial is in very nice condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will come in a new presentation box.

Due to Customs regulations, we are unable to send watches / precious metals to certain countries. If you are unsure about your country’s regulations, please contact us and we can check for you. Any orders from prohibited countries will be refunded, less any Paypal fees which are non-refundable.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
