Description

Gents 1960s Seiko Sportsman Calendar wrist watch.
The watch has a 17 jewel calibre 957 hand-winding movement, signed Seikosha, which is working nicely.
The watch is a good wearable size at 35mm diameter excluding the lugs and the winding crown. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just light marking, nothing serious at all.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original dauphine shaped hands, centre seconds hand and date display. The date is an early form of quickset where the hands are repeatedly moved backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9.30pm. There is some marking to the dial.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
