Description

A decorative 19th century folk art style bird cage made from wooden boards painted dark green with wire grills to the front and back. The grill on the back slides up to allow access to the interior, and on the front a semi-circular metal feeder hooks over the bars. Inside are some perches, with a little metal drawer below…
This is a lovely little thing, and judging by the compact size and the carrying handle on top, I would assume was used for transporting small birds.
Condition: Good condition with wear and surface patina in accordance with age.
