Description

Antique silver Phoenix Indestructible pocket watch.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. It is signed with the name of the original retailer, Arnold & Lewis, 7 St Anns Square, Manchester. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 935 silver and there are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs. The case has a few “dings” around the sides, and gentle unevenness to the hinged case back. Originally there would have been engine turned detail across the back but much of this has worn off over the years.
The later acrylic lens is in lovely condition.
The dial is in very nice condition too with pin-set blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
