Description
A good example of rare Scottish provincial silver. This lovely Gin label is made by James Erskine of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is of tablet form with clipped corners and has 'GIN' engraved in pricked capitals to the centre. It is supported on a belcher chain and only features the makers mark to the reverse, common practice with small provincial items such as this. A rare piece, of smaller portions, suggesting use as a bottle ticket rather than a full sized decanter label. A wonderful collectors piece, still usable today. Dimensions below. Postage and Packing :- £8.00 UK £16.00 Europe £22.00 Outside Europe Condition :- Excellent, with no splits or dents. Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.
