Description

Technical Description
A fine pair of 19th century glass spirit decanters dating to c1830.
They have their original flute cut mushroom stoppers, two annulated neckrings and slice cutting to the shoulders. A band of diamonds around the shoulders and flute cuts to the base. Large polished pontils.
Date & Origin
England, c1830. Period of William IV.
Condition
Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration. Clean and clear.

Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time McVitie's was founded as McVitie & Price's biscuit bakery in Edinburgh.
