Description

Victorian Stoneware Celadon Glazed Cheese Food Dome. C1880. Interesting cover, stoneware and in parts you can see the old elements coming through the glaze, decorated ivy leaves over a trellis background. Heavy. Stands 10¼ inches (27cm) tall and has a diameter of 8½ inches (21.5cm). No cracks, one or two of the ivy leaves have tiny losses, see images. I’ve dated it 1880 but wouldn’t be surprised if it was earlier. All my photos are taken using natural light only. Ready to use. Our ref 9490.
