Description

This is your chance to own a group of 18 Impactites from the famous Monturaqui Meteorite that struck Earth around 600,000 years ago, and was only discovered in 1962. It landed just south of the Atacama Desert in Chile. The impact crater is 350 metres by 370 metres in size, and is 34 metres deep. Only a few pieces of the Meteorite have been collected, as it is such a remote location. These impactites are classed as an iron Meteorites and contain a molten fusion of meteor rock and earth rock which fused when the meteorite struck earth.
Condition
In good condition.
The largest piece is 1.8cm by 1.7cm. Weight 10g
