Description

A late 19thc French ormolu on alabaster wall hanging plaque c1880. The round fine alabaster plaque is mounted on a good quality brass back, and bears an ormolu dove with outstretched wing, and ormolu initials ND. The plaque is surmounted by a decorative ormolu garland with a ring behind for hanging the plaque on a wall. This is a decorative item which may also have a spiritual intention as the dove is a symbol of peace and love. In excellent condition.
