Description

Gents 1940s Mido Multifort bumper automatic wrist watch.
The watch has a 17 jewel, 3 adjustments, bumper automatic movement, which is working well.
Early automatic movements such as this one relied on the rotor ‘bumping’ backwards and forwards between two springs to maintain the power within the movement. Later automatic watches have the fully rotational rotor.
The watch itself measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is ‘rustless steel’ and it is in good condition with just general light surface marks. The screw on case back is signed Mido. It also states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands (the infill has been removed at some stage).
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Due to Customs regulations, we are unable to send watches / precious metals to certain countries. If you are unsure about your country’s regulations, please contact us and we can check for you. Any orders from prohibited countries will be refunded, less any Paypal fees which are non-refundable.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
