Description

This is a medium sized, hexagonal shape teapot.
The design “YUAN” was produced by Frederick Rhead, (father of Charlotte.whose name is synonymous with tube lined designs.)
The blue and white pattern “yuan” was a design produced by Frederick around 1916, it is described as a reproduction of a 13th century oriental design.
Referring to the Yuan Dynasty.
Frederick Rhead claimed he copied the design from a Chinese plate in the British Museum.
Production of this design ceased in 1960
This is a medium sized teapot spout to handle approx 21cm
Height to top of lid finial 14cm
