Description

This is a superb example of the “Cartland “ foundry
James Cartland and sons foundry was established in 1823 , at constitution hill birmingham, England.
It later moved to Bordsley Green
The brass tray has a reticulated centre pen dish and either side there are raised walls for the inkwells with brass lids.
Clear foundry marks on the underside
A superb , functional gift for a collector
