Wilson Hepple 1854-1937.Northumbrian painter of animals and sporting scenes ,and genre subjects.Also he painted scenes of local interest such as the ‘ Last of the Old Tyne Bridge’ and ‘ King Edward Vll ‘s visit to Newcastle ‘.He was a founder member of the Bewick Club in Newcastle and exhib there.Lived in Acklington.Represented in the Laing Gallery. ‘ Horse Portrait’ signed watercolour dated 1924, image size 24.5x18.5 cms,framed size 47x33 cms
