Description

This antique porcelain statuette features three cherubs supporting the base of a pink candlestick, shaped like a small vase with a gold rim, and is presumed to have been created by the renowned Triebner, ENS & Eckert Volkstedt. Despite lacking the traditional markings of this firm, its style and craftsmanship suggest its origin.
The manufactory, known as Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur or the 'Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory', was the first of its kind in Thuringia, Germany, established in the 1760s. This particular item is from the late 19th century, specifically between 1877 and 1894.
The statuette is adorned with flowers, detailed and meticulously hand-painted. The cherubs are beautifully glazed with polychrome overglaze details that enhance the piece's brightness and depth. It rests on a part of a rococo coaster, used as a stand.
Dimensions: Height 21.5 cm, width 13.8 cm, depth 13.8 cm. Candle hole diameter 1.6 cm. Weight 788 grams.
Condition: There are a few almost imperceptible chips on the flower petals and leaves, but otherwise, the piece is in excellent antique condition.
Please examine the accompanying photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of this description. The item will be shipped with full tracking and insurance, covering labor, packaging, and postage costs.
