Description

This delightful beautifully made 1920s silver brooch (unmarked, but tested) depicts a pair of exotic lovebirds on a leafy stem. It is a fine delicately made example which is hand decorated with graduated bright coloured enamels and set with sparkling marcasite stones in numerous places. The eyes in addition are set and highlighted with small bright red garnets. On the brooch's reverse is a sturdy hinged pin which locks into a rotating safety catch.
This lovely brooch is in good original condition, Continental, circa 1920
