Description

Antique silver chain and fob.
The chain measures 38cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar, clasps and each of the links has the lion silver mark.
The chain comes with a silver fob, 33mm wide and 43mm high including the fixed loop. The fob has enamel detail, and gilded highlights. The wording on the gilded part reads, ‘1798 HOSC 1898’, and the wording on the enamel part reads, “sobrii faciles simplices” which translates as sober, easy, simple. The fob is hallmarked for 1897.

Due to Customs regulations, we are unable to send watches / precious metals to certain countries. If you are unsure about your country’s regulations, please contact us and we can check for you. Any orders from prohibited countries will be refunded, less any Paypal fees which are non-refundable.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
