Original woodblock, letterpress poster published c1880 for G. Baldwin & Co, Walworth Road . G. Baldwin & Co is London's oldest and most established Herbalist. The company was founded by George Baldwin in 1844 and was originally based at 77 Walworth Road, South East London. G. Baldwin Thrived over the next 50 years, eventually peaking at 12 shops around the London area.. This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING of this poster. Printed , it was created to promote Baldwin's Pills. It measures approximately 83.5cm (32¾") High, 59cm (23¼") Wide, and will be sent rolled and unframed.The image in the frame is due to this site requiring framed images. They are shown as is to enable the buyer to inspect for edge nicks and condition
CONDITION ISSUES due to the age there will be tiny imperfections but when framed (plain black thin mount is best) it will look stunning. The WORST is always shown as I have two or three copies of each. Many similar rural posters are on my shop website. Shown on a dark floor to reveal edge nicks
