Description

A top quality late Victorian brass cased bulkhead ships barometer on the original oak plinth by Barkers of Kensington, fully serviced and working c.1900. The polished brass case with mounting flange to the rear and cast bezel to the front. The glazed view window with central reading marker, porcelain dial with weather predictions sat over the aneroid movement. Sat on the original turned polished oak plinth with hanging mount to the top. Bears the makers name John Barker & Sons, Kensington, specialist barometer and marine instrument maker. Presented in excellent condition, fully serviced and working. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 11" maximum diameter x 6" dial x 3.75" deep.
