Description

This dear little Edwardian stick pin has the most charming portrait which I believe to be hand painted on ceramic of a young woman in what looks like Edwardian clothing, the little portrait is framed with little tiny gold coloured loops. The pin itself would likely to be either pinchbeck or brass. I believe the box to be the original one carrying the jewellers name W Padgett - Newark.

DATE - Circa 1905

CONDITION - The painting is in good condition as is the pin itself although the stick is no longer completely straight. The box too is in good condition with some wear to the upper sides and it still closes securely.

DIMENSIONS - The stick pin measures approx 2&1/2" / 6.5cm in total length with the portrait approx 1/4" / 0.5cm in diameter and with it's surround approx 1/3" / 1cm in diameter. The box measures approx 3&1/2" / 9cm in length by 1" / 2.5cm in depth by 3/4" / 2cm in height.
