A fine clean copy of "Dutch Painters of the 19th Century", by G.H. Marius, issued by The Antique Collectors' Club of Woodbridge in 1973. Originally published in Dutch in 1903, and first translated into English in 1908, this very readable account is a unique contribution by a man who was a friend or acquaintance of most of the later artists of the period. A key work of reference, this erudite academic study, edited by Geraldine Norman, Saleroom Correspondent of The Times, is profusely illustrated with fine black and white plates.
