Description
We believe this interesting item to be Early 20th Century and possibly of either English or Canadian origin. Of fine heavy quality and clearly of nautical significance, the piece is hinged at two points, and is marked B C S R, but as to it's intended purpose, we presently remain in the dark. Is it in fact simply a finely constructed model ? It has been suggested to us that the initials may stand for the British Columbia Sugar Refinery, many references to which may be found at the City of Vancouver Archives website.
