Mid Victorian inlaid rosewood jewellery box in very fine condition. No missing or replaced veneer. No shrinkage splits. Attractive grain. Original inlaid Mother of Pearl cartouche and escutcheon. Lid closes perfectly square. Original hinges and lock with a working key supplied. The interior has been lined to a high standard. Lightly padded panel set within a frame to the lid interior to complement the base section. Removable tray with metal side handles. 15 storage sections 3 of which are lidded with ornate gilt ring pulls. Please note the nice finishing touch of the material to all of the top edges of the tray…an indication of standard of finishing. Open storage beneath the tray with lightly padded base for those larger items of jewellery.
