Victorian inlaid figured walnut jewellery box in very fine condition.
Attractive grain. Inlaid Tunbridge style bands. Contrasting edge trim. No splits. Lid closes perfectly square. Inlaid Mother of Pearl cartouche and escutcheon with veneer strips surround. Small piece of restoration beneath the keyhole. The interior has been relined to a high standard. Rouched panel within a frame to the lid interior to complement the base section. Removable tray with side metal handles. The tray comprises of 12 sections, the centre featuring two lids with ornate gilt ring pulls. Please note the nice finishing touch of the material to all of the top edges of the tray…an indication of the standard of finishing. Open storage beneath the tray for those larger items of jewellery with lightly padded base.
