Description

A solid and impressive Art Deco sterling silver cigarette case featuring a rich, spiraling ornate pattern and a central monogram. The gently rounded edges and slightly domed top and bottom enhance its elegant design. The exterior showcases intricate, repetitive floral and scroll engravings on both the front and back, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The interior is fully silver-gilt, providing protection against oxidation caused by its contents. Designed to hold cigarettes in both halves, this piece is a great and stylish gift—a cigarette case for small cigarettes or an ideal business card holder.
Made by John Rose and fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1916. John Rose is best known for his high-quality cigar, cigarette, and card cases, although he also crafted a range of other fine items.
