A Pair Of Antique Victorian Minature Engravings C1840
Two, utterly delightful, framed Victorian etchings in fine antique condition.
Ornate gilt frames with plenty of attention to detail, etchings under glass, with hanging clip.
Each frame has a hand written note on the rear (see photos)
We have the the details of the etching with the three figures (presented portrait) as follows,
Engraving by J. Mitchell after a drawing by T.M. Wright of a scene from Scott's novel 'Peveril of the peak'
The meeting of Peveril and Alice interrupted by Bridgenorth 1832
the second etching remains a mystery
