Description

A charming small antique Georgian mahogany gentleman’s wash stand or bedside cabinet dating from circa 1800. In mahogany with box wood stringing it features a cupboard with central oval inlay above a small drawer both with brass pull handles. It stands on square chamfered legs united by a shaped under tier. The top lifts and folds open to reveal holes for bowls and containers (not present) for its original purpose as a washstand, but would now make a wonderful bedside cabinet or hall table.

mahogany

Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. A few small pieces of veneer missing in places. Small gap/split to mahogany on top.
