Description

This gorgeous and very tactile Victorian solid silver scent bottle is dated London 1889 and bears the marks of Edward Hutton, from the illustrious William Hutton & Sons family of silversmiths. The wrythen fluted cylindrical body with fully hallmarked solid silver base and with a solid silver hinged lid opening to reveal the original inner gilding. The inner lid partially hallmarked with date letter, maker's marks and Lion passant. The inner cased glass bottle with original glass stopper.

E.H for William Hutton & Sons (Edward Hutton)
London Assay mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "O" for 1889.
