Description

A gorgeous example of Edwardian sewing ware. The superb case is a carved coquilla nut of waisted form. It has a beautifully detailed exterior and base, with a reserve for a silver thimble. The later thimble has engraved detail and is fully hallmarked. A fine collector's piece, usable today. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent with no dents, holes or splits to the thimble and no damage to the case, excepting one small 'nick' to the inner rim, commensurate with age and use.
Date :- c1910.
Height :- 4 cms.
Diameter :- 3 cms. (widest point).
