Description

Super hallmarked silver stamp box in the shape of a book.
Book design with mock pages to the sides and a spine to the edge. Engraved Stamps to the front.
Can be used as a fob on a watch chain or on a chain as a pendant.
Fully hallmarked to the back with the Birmingham assay mark and date letter for 1911 and makers mark for Crisford & Norris Ltd. This mark was registered in 1896 and was used until 1978. They were in Vyse Street Birmingham, right at the heart of the jewellery quarter.
Opens on a hinge to reveal the stamp compartment which still holds some old stamps.
The hinge works well and holds in place.
The silver weight is 10 grams and it measures 3 cm tall, 2.5 cm wide and 0.5 cm deep.
Excellent condition no damage or repairs.
