Description
A beautiful Art Deco table lamp dating from the 1930s. The square base is made of bakelite with a on/off push button. It has a square chrome upright supported by angular cut-outs and a chrome shade support. Atop this sits a beautiful mottled green glass shade with gilt detailing. It is in working order and has been rewired to modern standards to take a bayonet bulb (bulb not included). It is also PAT tested for electrical safety. We would advise using a low wattage LED bulb to prevent the glass shade getting too hot. It is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are some signs of age and use, slight tarnishing and pitting to the chrome and a couple of minor splits in the bakelite base but nothing detrimental. The glass shade is in excellent condition. The lamp has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use. Approximate Measurements : Height : 20" / 51cm Base : 5” / 13cm square Shade Width : 8" / 20cm The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
