Description

A truly lovely pair of early Victorian etched comports. Rarely found in pairs, these delightful examples have drop baluster stems and polished pontil marks to the bases. The bowls are etched with alternate vertical panels of frosting. Comports were originally used for fruit or sweetmeats, but are versatile enough to offer a number of uses, including pot pouree, fruit, candles or confectionery. A gorgeous example of early Victorian glass and a great gift idea. Dimensions below.
