Description

A beautiful Norwegian vintage silver and enamel butterfly brooch. This example has an exceptionally pretty colour combination of green and brown with white and grey accents. The guilloche enamel wings are very finely detailed, and the wings curve slightly to reflect the light and highlight the detail. The body, wing edges and antennae and back of the brooch are all in the silver gilt finish.

The back of the brooch is marked 'Sterling 925 S Norway' with the mark for the well known Norwegian jewellery designer Hroar Prydz,  circa 1950. There is a good fastening clasp at the back and the brooch is in great condition.
