Description

A set of six Art Deco coffee silver teaspoons, in their original box.
Hallmarks for 1939, assayed in London and made by Josiah Williams & Co. Ltd.
The company originated in 1818 by William Woodward from Bristol, who was at the time the largest manufacturing silversmith in England, outside of London, Birmingham and Sheffield. After various changes became Josiah Williams & Co. Ltd between 1924 and 1944.
The spoons were retailed by James Ogden and Sons Ltd, with shops in Harrogate and Duke Street, St. James, London.
The coffee spoons in excellent condition, with the interior silk lining with some marks commensurate with age.
