Description
Super ebonised hard wood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane with an amethyst ball pommel. The silver was assayed in Birmingham as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1910 and has the makers mark for Henry Howell & Co. Stunning piece of amethyst for the pommel top, the colour and design within the crystals are exceptional. Engraved silver collar that the sphere sits into. The cartouche has the initials FAM to the centre. It measures 92 cm 36 1/4 inches in length, the pommel is 4.5 cm 1 3/4 inches wide. The ferrule is original and made brass and steel, it is stamped HH for Henry Howell. It's in excellent condition but with some minor signs of age and use as you'd expect at this age. The pommel and shaft are in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Natural imperfections in the stone which is normal being crystalline in make up. No damage or repairs. Surface marks to the silver collar and shaft but no splits or repairs. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
