Description

A fine quality Victorian burr walnut jewellery box of unusually small size, the well chosen veneers with inset brass lines, the edges banded in ebony. To the top is a vacant brass cartouche with a matching keyhole escutcheon to the front.
The box has been lined in a red marbled paper with a luxurious red silk velvet to the base and lid, the lid further enhanced with gold thread embroidery.
With working lock & tasselled key.
