Six delightful small glass champagne bowls, assembled to form a 'harlequin' set. Harlequin sets are individual examples placed together to celebrate a combination of their similarities and differences. This fine set are English and all date from the late-Victorian era. Usefully doubling as cocktail glasses, the details are as follows :- 1. Cut band of thumbnail cuts above a band of oval cuts. Polished pontil to foot. 2. Etched zigzag and Greek Key pattern. Plain stem and foot. 3. Thumbnail cutting to bowl. Collar to foot. Slice cut baluster stem. 4. Facet prism cuts to the bowl. Plain stem and polished pontil to foot. 5. Band of star etching above a small band of thumbnail cutting to bowl. Plain stem with supporting collar beneath bowl. 6. Band of large thumbnail cutting to bowl. Slice cut baluster stem, extending into bowl for petal effect. Collar to base of stem. Dimensions below.
