Description

A good example of a large antique Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant design with a beautifully shaped handle and delicately engraved ornate scrolling decoration. It stands on three shaped feet. The jug is stylish and good quality with a cartouche to the front which is faintly engraved with an armorial crest.
It is clearly hallmarked on the base for London, 1841 and the makers C.T Fox & G.Fox. It weighs approximately 190g.
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, minor dinks and light signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
