Description
A lovely oak stationery box dating from the early 20th Century. It has a carrying handle on the top and the top lifts up to reveal a series of leather pen holders below the lid. The front then folds down to reveal the inner letter racks and inkwells. The inkwells sit into recesses and are good quality glass examples with threaded collars and one has its original top. The front has a lovely blotting pad which also provides a nice sloped writing surface when the front is down. The cabinet also comes with a working key. It is in good condition throughout and although it has been used it has been well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks and marks around the outside but no major damages. There is some wear to the blotting pad inside and some old ink stains and other general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental or untoward and overall it displays very well. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask. Tracked UK Delivery £15
