Description

Gents Tissot Visodate Seastar PR516 wrist watch, 1966.
The watch has a 21-jewel automatic, calibre 784-1, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8,578,801 which dates it back to 1966.
The watch measures 33mm wide excluding the signed Tissot winding crown, and 33mm high excluding the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just general light marking, nothing serious at all. The inside of the screw-on case back is signed with the Tissot name.
The lens is in good condition, just very small marks but they are difficult to see with the naked eye.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and an early form of quickset date where the hands are repeatedly moved backwards and forwards between 1.05am and 10.30pm until the desired time is reached.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
