Description

A superb Victorian silver mounted scent bottle. The unusual and eye catching design of the glass, has a white opaline body, cased in blue and clear glass. The bottle has wrythen patterns in stunning aquamarine blue and a hallmarked hinged silver lid. Inside there is the original glass peg stopper and the interior of the lid is gilded. A lovely and eye catching collector's item. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks to the glass. The silver has no splits or holes. The collar has a few fleabite bumps, commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- Very soft, but readable with perseverance. Part mark to inside of lid.
Date :- Birmingham 1893.
Maker :- Charles May.
Height :- 8.5 cms.
Diameter :- 6.5 cms. (widest point).
