Description

A lovely silver sweetmeat or bonbon dish, from Germany.This attractive piece has a shaped and pierced bady, featuring twin vacant cartouches and draped flower swags. The centre features a rustic scene with cherubs. A lovely silver dish, with many uses. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits.
Date :- c1870.
Hallmarks :- Marked 800, AMS and a further mark, possibly a crown.
Origin :- Germany.
Maker :- Adolf Mayer Sr. Frankfurt am Main.
Width :- 20.7 cms.
Depth :- 12.5 cms.
Height :- 4 cms.
