An elegant demitasse cup and saucer by Meissen, dating from the late 19th century. Decorated in the much-admired Dresden flower style, both cup and saucer are adorned with intricate hand-painted floral sprays in vivid polychrome enamels. The finely scalloped rims are edged in gold, adding sophistication and refinement to the design. Meissen crossed swords mark with two cancellation strokes (typical for items slightly below first quality at firing but still decorated by Meissen artists and sold through official retail channels). Dimensions: Cup: 5 cm tall, 6.5 cm diameter Saucer: 11 cm diameter Condition: excellent overall with no damage or restoration and virtually no wear to gold.
