Description

This is a smart good quality Victorian jewellery box in beautiful burr walnut which has a lovely deep rich colour and patina.
The box has quality military style brass fitments including a recessed handle to the lid which is engraved Nora Macdonald.
Provenance : Barra Castle Aberdeenshire
Formerly the property of the Late Robert Bogdan, Barra Castle, Aberdeen, a fascinating gentleman who inherited a wealth of textiles and costume from earlier generations.
