Description

A stunning Danish silver and enamel bracelet in the Art Deco style by master craftsman Volmer Bahner, signed on the clasp ‘STERLING DENMARK’ and just visible below the maker’s mark VB. In pristine condition ready to be worn.
Maker: Volmer Bahner c 1969
Dimensions: 17cm. 15g.
* Volmer Bahner (1912-1995) was a multi-disciplined designer and artist from Denmark. He studied at the Industrial Arts and Crafts College, graduating in 1930 and receiving several awards and scholarships. He was renowned for beautiful silver and enamel jewellery and started a specialist enamel jewellery company which was registered from 1962 to 1988 where he produced Art Deco style jewellery in simple non-figurative designs in addition to his well-known and easily recognisable hearts and animal pieces.
