Description

A charming example of Victorian sewing ware. This delightful thimble holder is rectangular in shape with a domed lid. The lid is hinged and is opened with a push button release. The original plush lined interior is in an attractive navy blue and the body is decorated with beautiful panels of mother-of-pearl and abalone shell. The box is supplied with a hallmarked Victorian silver thimble, with a floral engraved border. A lovely and unusual collector's piece, still usable today. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent with no breaks, holes or splits. There are a couple of minor losses to the corners, commensurate with age and use.
