Side B: Transparent watercolour with pencil sketch beneath Description of Artwork: This is an authentic mid-19th-century double-sided artwork, drawn and painted by hand. The front side features a highly sensitive original ink drawing of a young girl seated on a rock, hands gently folded, with mountains faintly sketched behind. The reverse is a delicate watercolour view of Berchtesgaden, dated “Aug 5th,” showing the distinctive onion-domed church tower against the Bavarian Alps. Both works demonstrate an artist of notable talent and training, likely on a Grand Tour through Germany or Austria, documenting figures and landscapes with romantic clarity. Approximate age of artwork: Circa 1820–1850 Is the artwork Framed or Mounted: Mounted, unframed (Ready to be placed in a frame of your choosing) Condition Report: The artwork is in good antique condition.
