Description

Distressed art work.
An interesting European 19th century street scene is the subject matter of this painting
European. The art work is an oil on board and depicts musicians heading up a parade of women folk in a somewhat "Pied Piper" manner.
What is of great interest and amusement is the is distress over work applied to some of the ladies. This appears to be a later application of paint, But why?? Vandalism? An amateur attempt?? Who knows. Of equal interest is the signing by the artist Vincent dated 81.
Could this really be a lost Vincent Van Gogh? I doubt it.
Frame original and in good order commensurate with age
