Description

A vintage Herend porcelain plate from Hungary, decorated in the iconic “Shanghai” Chinoiserie style (pattern 2525/SH). This large plate displays colourful hand painted flowers and butterflies in a lively Oriental composition, all finished with a genuine gold rim. Herend’s reputation for artistic quality and meticulous craftsmanship is evident throughout, making this an attractive addition to any interior or collection. Marked on the reverse with the traditional blue Herend shield and impressed model number. The “Shanghai” pattern is among Herend’s most desirable designs for collectors of fine European porcelain. A fine example of 20th century Herend porcelain, suitable for display or as a thoughtful gift.
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or restorations. Painting and gilding are crisp and well preserved.
